Overview
Grounds are little work when they are dealt with regularly — and a great deal of work when they are left. A lawn that stands three weeks too long needs scarifying rather than mowing afterwards. A hedge left uncut for two years goes bare inside and can only be saved by a hard cut back.
That is why our garden maintenance runs on a schedule that fits what is actually growing: mowing at the right rhythm, hedge cutting within the permitted periods, spring and autumn pruning when the weather suits. You get the dates in advance and do not have to think about it — we come whether or not you are there.
For residential complexes and company grounds in Ulm and Neu-Ulm we take on the complete grounds maintenance including paths and car park areas. Combined with building cleaning, that puts inside and outside with one provider.
Scope of work
From a weekly cut to full care of the grounds — individually or on a schedule.
A regular cut at the right height is half the lawn: cut too short it burns in summer, cut too rarely it mats. We mow on a schedule, remove the clippings and take on scarifying and feeding on request.
Hedges are cut wider at the bottom than the top, otherwise they go bare inside. We carry out shaping and maintenance cuts properly and observe the statutory closed seasons protecting nesting birds.
Twice a year the planting is brought back into shape: a structural cut in spring before the closed season starts, a maintenance cut in autumn once it ends. In between the workload stays low, because nothing runs away.
Beds, paving joints, driveways and kerbs are handled during the regular visits — while growth is small it is done in passing. Left for two seasons, it becomes a job of its own.

Maintenance plan
We do not work from an off-the-shelf annual plan. Which jobs come up at which rhythm depends on the planting, the area, how it is used and the weather — and that can only be judged properly on site, not over the phone.
During the site visit we walk the grounds together and agree which work runs on the regular schedule and which is commissioned separately as seasonal work. Both are then set out in writing in the quote, so it is clear later what was included and what was not.

We work across the Ulm/Neu-Ulm twin-city area and in the neighbouring municipalities of the Alb-Donau district and the Neu-Ulm district. The tight radius is deliberate: short journeys mean appointments that hold, and room to fit in a short-notice special clean.

Garden maintenance is usually billed by the hour, at the rates normal for landscaping services in the Ulm area. For recurring work such as mowing we recommend a seasonal or monthly flat fee: it is predictable and cheaper overall than individual visits. Disposal of cuttings is itemised separately.
During the main growing season from April to June a weekly cut is ideal; in high summer and autumn every two weeks is usually enough. The rule of thumb is the one-third rule: never remove more than a third of the blade length at once, or the sward suffers.
A hard cut back — coppicing or grubbing out — is prohibited from 1 March to 30 September under § 39 of the German Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG), to protect nesting birds. A gentle shaping and maintenance cut is permitted during that period provided no nest is affected. We check before every cut.
Yes, on request we take away lawn, hedge and shrub cuttings and dispose of them properly. Alternatively we leave the material on your compost — we record which it is in the quote so the item is clear.
