Overview
Clean windows are the cheapest refurbishment a building can get. They let noticeably more daylight into the rooms and instantly take the neglected look off an office. On the inside it is mostly dust doing the work: handprints, a film of grease from the tea point, and the fine layer that heated air leaves on the pane over months.
As window cleaners in Ulm we work with the classic tools — applicator, squeegee, a clean edge — and where needed with a reverse-osmosis unit that delivers lime-free water. That purified water dries without residue, which removes both the buffing step and the streaks. For frames, rebates and seals we use separate cloths so the dirt does not travel back onto the glass.
We clean the interior side only — no exterior cleaning, no working at height, no access equipment. This is not a limitation we hide: it is the reason our appointments hold and the fixed price stands even when a pane turns out to be more stubborn than expected.

Glass, frames, rebates and seals on the interior side. We use an applicator and squeegee rather than spray and cloth: it is faster, uses less water and leaves no smears.
Streaks come from limescale in the water and from pulling the squeegee wrong. For delicate surfaces we use demineralised water from a reverse-osmosis unit — it dries without residue, with no buffing needed.
We clean the interior face of the glazing — on any floor, because that is done from inside the room. Exterior faces, facades and roof glazing are not part of what we do: no cherry pickers, no rope access, no access equipment in the quote.
Besides windows we clean office glass partitions, glass doors, entrance and draught lobbies and the inner face of shop windows — matched to the material in each case.
Two to four times a year is the economical rhythm for most properties. We book the dates in advance so you do not have to think about it — and you get a better rate than for one-off jobs.
After a refurbishment or new build, cement and silicone residue sits on the glass. Post-construction cleaning needs different methods from ordinary window cleaning — we remove residue without scratching the pane.

Prices
Glass cleaning is billed either per window, per square metre of glass or by the hour. Market rates are currently around €2–6 per window, roughly €2.50–8 per square metre and €30–50 per hour. Which is cheaper depends on the property — many identical windows favour a per-window price, large glass frontages a per-square-metre price.

Prices, frequency and method — the questions that come up most before booking.
Depending on the property, expect roughly €2 to €6 per window or around €2.50 to €8 per square metre of glass; billed by time, rates are usually €30 to €50 per hour. Window size, access, glazing bars and how dirty the glass is all matter. For recurring work we quote a lower flat rate per visit.
No. We clean the interior face of the glazing only. Exterior faces, facades and roof glazing are outside our scope, and we do not carry out work at height — neither with a cherry picker nor with rope access. Anything we cannot do, we say before the quote rather than on the invoice.
Offices and practices usually have the interior side cleaned two to four times a year. Rooms with visitor traffic need more, and shops sometimes monthly. Wherever there is a lot of work, cooking or heating, the film builds up on the pane faster.
Usually it comes down to hard tap water, too much detergent, or a worn squeegee rubber. We work with correctly dosed applicator solution, a fresh rubber blade and — where needed — demineralised water that dries without residue.
Frames, rebates and interior window sills are part of our window cleaning unless agreed otherwise. Clean glass in a dirty frame looks like half a job — so for us it belongs together.
That calls for a post-construction clean: cement haze, silicone and adhesive residue have to be removed with specific methods. It matters that this happens early — baked-on residue can often only be taken off later with a blade, which risks the pane.
